## Design choices

- **Framed panels** (`layout.framed-panels`): Content held in borders, cartouches or compartments. “Arrangement”: Label stack. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/framed-panels/
- **Rotated & vertical setting** (`type.rotated`): Lines set at angles, stacked or running vertically. “Arrangement”: Side rail. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/rotated-and-vertical-setting/
- **Cards & bento tiles** (`layout.bento`): Content partitioned into rounded tiles or cards of varied size. “Arrangement”: Tiles. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/cards-and-bento-tiles/
- **Extreme scale contrast** (`space.scale-contrast`): Very large against very small elements, for drama and order. “Arrangement”: Cropped emblem. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/extreme-scale-contrast/
- **Diagram & data** (`image.diagram`): Charts, maps, isotypes, technical drawings. “Arrangement”: Console. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/diagram-and-data/
- **Full bleed** (`layout.full-bleed`): Image or colour runs off every edge; no protective margins. “Arrangement”: Full-bleed bands. Measured on the opening picture: ink at the edges 80% with “Full-bleed bands”, and 44% to 53% with the other options. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/full-bleed/
- **Emblems & badges** (`ornament.emblem`): Seals, crests, roundels and badges. Set by “Emblems & badges”. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/emblems-and-badges/
- **Full polychrome** (`color.polychrome`): Many saturated hues at once. “Colour roles”: First ink leads. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/full-polychrome/
- **Limited spot colours** (`color.limited-spot`): Two or three flat inks. “Colour roles”: One ink only. Measured on the opening picture with “One ink only”: hues besides black, white and grey 1. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/limited-spot-colours/
- **Monochrome** (`color.monochrome`): A single hue, or black and white. “Colour roles”: No inks. Measured on the opening picture with “No inks”: hues besides black, white and grey 0. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/monochrome/
- **Pictogram** (`form.pictogram`): Reduced, systematic signs. Always. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/pictogram/
- **Flat** (`surface.flat`): No simulated depth or texture. Always. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/flat/
- **Icons & pictograms** (`image.iconography`): Systematic icon families. Always. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/icons-and-pictograms/
- **All caps** (`type.all-caps`): Capitals for monumentality, order or shouting. Always. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/all-caps/
- **Technological & futurist** (`tone.technological`): Speed, machines, progress and the future. Always. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/technological-and-futurist/
- **Ironic & self-aware** (`tone.ironic`): Quotation, pastiche and knowing exaggeration. Always. https://stylogeny.com/design-choices/ironic-and-self-aware/

## How it works

- Packs a sheet from hard-edged bands and panels like an equipment label: one ultra-wide name, one heavy emblem, colour tiles of pictograms and a map, scope or chart panel, with tiny tracked capitals in the slivers.
- Six arrangements and a pool of pieces fit whatever box they get, so variations differ in composition as well as in colour, and flat process colours stay flat.
- In motion only the emblem’s rings and swoosh turn, the routes trace and the scope sweeps; the rest of the sheet holds still.

It never does:

- No real brand, flag or firm’s mark and no second script of its own: names, icons and emblems are invented and generic.
- No real map or real data: the land comes from noise, the numbers are made-up cell references and each panel’s tag says it is not real. No gradients or textures.

## Controls

- `name` Name (default ""): The invented name, set wide on one or two rows. Left empty, each variation picks a made-up one.
- `tagline` Tagline (default ""): The tracked-out line under the name. Left empty, each variation picks one.
- `arrangement` Arrangement (any | label | rail | tiles | crop | console | bleed; default any): How the sheet is composed: bands stacked like a label, a full-height rail with the name running up it, a grid of tiles, one huge emblem cropped in a corner, one big instrument panel, or solid bands running edge to edge. Full-bleed bands: Measured on the opening picture: ink at the edges 80% with “Full-bleed bands”, and 44% to 53% with the other options.
- `emblem` Emblems & badges (any | planet | orbits | rings | shutter | sun | quarters | initial | crest; default any): The one heavy mark on the sheet. All are invented; the initials come from the name.
- `roles` Colour roles (first | second | third | any | one | black; default first): Which ink takes which job: the name’s second row and the emblem’s core, then the signal and the swoosh, then the strip. One ink keeps a single accent; no inks leaves only the strongest colour on the ground. One ink only: Measured on the opening picture with “One ink only”: hues besides black, white and grey 1. No inks: Measured on the opening picture with “No inks”: hues besides black, white and grey 0.
- `panel` Diagram & data (any | map | scope | chart | orbit; default any): What the big colour panel shows. The land matches no real coast, the numbers no real data, and the panel’s tag says so.
- `density` Density (0–1, default 0.7): How much is packed on the sheet: at 0 a few large modules with air between them, at 1 every band in use and the tiles at their smallest.
- `effect` Effect (all | turn | trace | still; default all): What moves over the loop. Everything else on the sheet holds still.

## About Techno-Futurist Graphics

Techno-futurist graphics took the grammar of corporate identity in the late 1980s and 1990s, the logos, pictograms, product codes and warning labels, and made fictional brands with it for electronic music and video games. The surfaces are flat and crisp, in candy brights on white or silver, and information is packed in until it becomes ornament. The tone is half celebration, half joke.

This generator builds each sheet from bands and panels. An arrangement divides the page, as a label stack, a side rail, tiles, a cropped emblem, a console or full-bleed bands, and a pool of pieces fills whatever boxes result: tiles, lists, barcodes, dials, slanted bars. Name, emblem, colour roles, panel and density are yours to set.

Everything is invented. The emblems belong to nobody, the land on the maps comes from noise and matches no coast, and the numbers mean nothing: each panel carries a tag that says so. In motion the emblem’s rings and swoosh turn, routes trace and the scope sweeps, while the rest holds still.
